It was a pleasure to spend part of last week with Keith Edwards, Lauren Tyger, Michael Benitez, Jr., and Paul Brown to talk about the culture of “side hustles” (or second jobs, gigs, or anything else you might want to call them) in student affairs and higher education. For my part, I haven’t been able to afford to have just one job in quite some time, so it’s a necessity. But for others, it’s seen as a distraction, an indulgence, and any number of other things. We tried to touch on as much of that as the hour would allow, you can listen in on our conversation below.
